About Linda Storm

Hi, Welcome!
My name is Linda Storm.  As I write this I am living, creating and musing in a historically rich junction of the Rocky Mountains called Glorieta, New Mexico.
My earliest memory as an artist is when I was three.  I remember holding a paintbrush in my hand and dipping it into paint.  A new sense of awareness awakened in me.  The smell of the oil paint, the feel of the brush in my hand, the visual delight of watching the colors spread onto the canvas.  Unfortunately the paint and the painting belonged to someone who was not there at the time.  Soon afterward I remember hearing a loud angry voice yell “Who painted on my painting?”
It is many years, many classes, many creations later, and I am still passionate about painting. I paint daily.  It is an absolute thrill, and a deep satisfaction when I complete a painting.  My work can be seen all over the world, and is collected by many.

Oil on canvas is my preferred medium.  Sometimes I add a little glitter, or butterfly wing, maybe some iridescence, or gold leaf.  It is not unusual for me to add forest finds to a painting, or to hide images that might be found much later.  Nature motivates and inspires me more than anything else.  I walk in the forest daily taking in its sensual delights. I believe in sharing the gifts I receive, and am thankful for the opportunity.
I have learned respect for, and no longer paint on the work of other artists.
My studio/gallery is located in Glorieta, New Mexico, about 20 minutes from downtown Santa Fe.  I am open by appointment.  My studio number is 505-757-6250.
