About Christopher Martinez
Christopher Martinez, a lifelong resident and native northern New Mexican, comes from a large family of artisans. From childhood, he knew art would be his life. He began his career drawing and painting with pastels and quickly evolved into photography when he started to photograph what he wanted to paint in the studio. Having studied Fine Art at the College of Santa Fe and earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Art Institute of Colorado, he is now the owner of Nativo design, a small graphic design firm. For over twenty years, Christopher has dedicated his life to capturing with his eyes and lens the beauty of nature that surrounds us all and has insatiable passion and drive to achieve the ultimate artistic expression. Christopher has just won the "Best of Arts Award" at this year's 25th Anniversary Contemporary Hispanic Market.
